Survey and Research Project of NDAP (Core Project)
In order to facilitate a better NDAP operation, the survey project will survey the contents of the participating organizations and their digitization progress. It will also promote exchanges and collaborations among institutions so that the national resources can be effectively utilized.

  • To collect data for the portal website
  • To participate in “Thematic Groups Symposium”
  • To survey digitized contents
  • To survey digitization working process
  • To provide all kinds of related digitization information to participating institutions
  • To assist to complete all implementation projects
  • To organize “Digitization Working Process Workshops”
  • To carry out the instructions from the Program Office

Thematic Groups
In order to facilitate contacts among participating institutions in NDAP, this project sets up various thematic groups according to the genres mapped out by the institutions. Currently, there are 12 groups: Zoology, Botany, Geology, Anthropology, Archives, Artifacts, Calligraphy & Painting, Maps & Remote Images, Stone & Bronze Rubbings, Rare Books, Archaeology, and Journalism & Mass media.

The groups have to cooperate with Content Development Division’s surveys on the data that have been and will be digitized, in order that the Program Office may take hold of the collections data of the participating institutions and their progresses, and further set the digitization priority for the cultural relics and data, and related standards and specifications.

  • To provide working process for data implementation; to establish integration, divisions, and coordination mechanism, and to achieve the goal of information and experience sharing
  • To integrate the metadata and demands related to content analysis
  • To propose and recommend the requirements of information technology
To investigate and discuss related issues on digital archives
